Pakistani Nuke-Ready Missile Launched in Trial
Pakistan on Wednesday carried out the trial-firing of a nuclear-capable ballistic missile with a top flight distance of 560 miles, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
"Pakistan today conducted a successful launch of the intermediate-range ballistic missile Hatf 4 Shaheen 1 weapon system," according to the army's Inter-Services Public Relations office.
The missile has a greater flight distance than the current version of the Hatf 4 along with other technological improvements, the army release states.
The trial occurred three days after Pakistan's neighboring rival India fired off a nuclear-ready Agni 2 missile.
