Raytheon Wins Patriot Contract for United Arab Emirates
U.S. defense contractor Raytheon announced yesterday it had received a five-year, $246 million contract to supply the United Arab Emirates with extra components and technical services for its Patriot missile defenses (see GSN, Dec. 14, 2008).
Under the initial phase of the deal, Raytheon would provide $123 million in components for the Patriot defenses, which Abu Dhabi bought for $3.3 billion late last year, the Boston Business Journal reported (Boston Business Journal, Feb. 9).
