Tel Nof Airbase

  • Location
    Approximately 18km west of Ashdod
  • Type
    Missile-Base
  • Facility Status
    Operational

Jane’s reports that bunkers south of the Tel Nof Airbase house nuclear gravity bombs for F-4s, F-15s, and F-16s stationed at the airbase. 1 The 2002 SIPRI Yearbook concurred, reporting that “operational nuclear weapons are thought to be stored near the Tel Nof AB.”2

In June of 2025, following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian facilities, this facility was targeted by retaliatory strikes from Iran. Satellite imagery analysis shows no obvious signs of damage to the facility at this time.3
