Intern, Global Nuclear Policy Program
Hideo Asano serves as an intern for the Global Nuclear Policy Program (GNPP) at NTI. In his role, he supports the GNPP team with projects related to nuclear risk reduction, arms control, and disarmament.
Hideo is a Fulbright scholar pursuing an MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. His research is focused on nuclear nonproliferation and arms control in Northeast Asia. Previously, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies. He also has experience interning at the Japan NGO Network for Nuclear Weapons Abolition and the Japan Institute of International Affairs. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing basketball and watching anime and Korean drama.
