Intern, Nuclear Materials Security
Bio
Rainbow Tao serves as an intern with NTI’s Nuclear Materials Security team. In this role, she supports projects at the intersection of nuclear nonproliferation, nuclear security, and nuclear energy through research efforts.
Tao is pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations with a concentration in Security, Strategy, and Statecraft, with a regional focus on Asia, at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. Tao graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a Minor in Asian Studies. Her passion for nuclear nonproliferation was ignited during a summer program in 2018 in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to NTI, Tao interned at the Stimson Center, 38 North Program. With a vision for her future career in nuclear policy, she plans to pursue a career in nuclear policy after graduation from SAIS.
