Sarah
Stern

Sarah Stern serves as an intern for NTI’s Global Biological Policy and Programs team (NTI | bio). In this role, she supports the team’s efforts to reduce biological risks and improve pandemic preparedness.

Stern is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology at Stanford University, where she is studying the mechanisms controlling adult stem cell proliferation and differentiation. Stern received a B.S. in Biology at MIT. She is interested in the detection and identification of emerging pandemics. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, working on jigsaw puzzles, going for walks and hikes, and eating ice cream.
