Pathways to Cooperation Release Event

The Nuclear Threat Initiative and Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS) co-sponsored an event at the Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel on February 15, 2017 to launch their joint report Pathways to Cooperation: A Menu of Potential U.S.-Russian Cooperative Projects in the Nuclear Sphere.

The report provides policymakers with a menu of over 50 projects for mutually beneficial nuclear engagement between the United States and the Russian Federation. These proposals were developed by dozens of U.S. and Russian nuclear experts, as a part of a “Track II” dialogue sponsored by NTI and CENESS.

The event included presentations by NTI Vice-President Andrew Bieniawski; CENESS Director Anton Khlopkov; CENESS Advisor and Former Director of the Rosatom International Department Ambassador Mikhail Lysenko; and Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) Vice President Daniel Lipman.
