Ernest J. Moniz
Co-Chair and Chief Executive Officer, NTI
Ernest J. Moniz, who was recently named
chief executive officer and co-chairman of the Board of Directors of the
Nuclear Threat Initiative, spoke
with Science magazine last week about a range of issues, including
U.S. relations with Russia and China, cyber threats, the Iran deal and the
vision of a world without nuclear weapons.
“What I think is really critical, what NTI has done as a do
tank as opposed to a think tank, is advocating for and facilitating practical
steps that can be taken in the near and medium term to reducing nuclear
threats,” said Dr. Moniz, who begins as CEO
effective June 1st.
