Ryan Takeji Adams is an intern with NTI’s Communications team. He is a master’s student in Conflict Resolution at Georgetown University, focusing on the role of communications in conflict prevention and peacebuilding. He is originally from Orange County, California, and moved to Washington, D.C., after graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, where he received his B.A. in Political Science and Social Policy.
During his undergraduate career, Adams was involved in numerous political campaigns and interned for the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Commerce. Recently, he completed communications internships with U.S. Representative Derek Tran and the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. He also served as a public affairs intern at Cornerstone Government Affairs, where he supported communications strategy and client engagement for Fortune 100 companies. Looking ahead, Adams hopes to use his academic and professional experience to pursue a career in the national security and defense sector, specializing in conflict mediation and crisis communications.
