The Karachi Institute of Power Engineering (KINPOE) is located adjacent to the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP), and provides training to qualify operators and engineers to operate and maintain KANUPP. 1 KINPOE offers three academic programs: a Masters in Nuclear Power Engineering; a Postgraduate Training Program; and a Post-Diploma Training Program. 2 Most recently, China fully funded and designed a $2.7 billion nuclear reactor to be located at the Karachi Institute. This was done in accordance with CPEC, a $46 billion initiative between China and Pakistan.3
