Russia Successfully Tests RS-20 ICBM
Russia today conducted a successful test of a RS-20 ICBM, also known as the SS-18 Satan, according to Agence France-Presse (see GSN, Dec. 21).
The missile was fired from a silo in the southern Orenburg region and hit a target about 6,000 kilometers away in the eastern Kamtchatka peninsula, AFP reported (Agence France-Presse/SpaceWar.com, Dec. 22).
