Ukraine Endorses Call for Regional Nuke-Free Zone
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich on Tuesday said his country endorses a push to establish a nuclear weapon-free zone covering Eastern and Central Europe, Interfax reported (see GSN, April 8).
"All responsible governments" are morally obliged to support the proposal, Yanukovich said at an atomic energy safety summit in Ukraine's capital (Interfax, April 19).
