Katherine Budeski joined the Nuclear Threat Initiative in 2018 as an intern and worked with NTI | bio as a consultant before becoming the Program Assistant for the Global Biological Policy and Programs team in September 2019 and later a Program Officer in 2021.
Budeski is a graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Honors Baccalaureate with minors in Hispanic Studies, Political Science, and Global Health. During her undergraduate program, Budeski worked in a biochemistry laboratory and mass spectrometry facility for four years researching biomarkers for liver cancer and developing novel technologies for biomarker analysis. In addition, she studied abroad at Amsterdam University College in the Netherlands for one year before finishing her degrees in Montana.
