Former Intern, NTI

Samik Maini served as an intern for NTI’s Global Nuclear Policy Program. In his role, he helped conduct research for the program’s various projects along with working on the Atomic Pulse, NTI’s blog.

Samik is a Senior at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, pursuing a major in International Politics with a minor in statistics. He has a keen interest in South Asian geopolitics, wanting to study the role disruptive technologies such as Nuclear Weapons and Automated Weapon Systems can play in the India-Pakistan conflict. Samik is a member of Georgetown’s International Relations Club, competing with their Model UN travel team across North America and helping staff Georgetown’s two Model UN Conferences. He is also involved with Georgetown’s South Asian Society as well as its Ping Pong club. In his free time, Samik enjoys watching a wide range of sports and playing a game of chess with his friends.
