Technology is changing fast—and unlike in the past, it’s not governments driving the disruption in global security innovation. Businesses and market forces are leading the way. To keep the world safe, we need bold partnerships and flexible strategies that can keep up.
As new technologies emerge, they’re challenging how the world thinks about global security. It’s crucial to work with experts—and with the people making real change on the ground.
NTI’s FutureSafe program explores how converging technology fields are reshaping global security, creating both opportunities for innovation and new risks.
The FutureSafe Innovation Forum has featured former Google CEO Eric Schmidt in a discussion of AI and national security, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Director Dr. Kim Budil in a discussion of nuclear and biological security in a rapidly changing world as well as the challenges faced in nuclear modernization. As a dialogue series, the Forum brings together leaders, innovators, and changemakers from diverse fields across government and the private sector to explore how breakthroughs in science and technology are reshaping nuclear, biological, and emerging threats—and how to adapt those breakthroughs to build a safer future.
