Richard Nephew on “Sanctions Policy Implications of the U.S. JCPOA Withdrawal”

As part of NTI’s ongoing seminar series, Richard Nephew, Senior Research Scholar, the Center on Global Energy Policy, Columbia University, outlined his views on the implications of the U.S. withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action with Iran–especially with respect to international cooperation with the U.S. sanctions effort.  He discussed scenarios with respect to Iran’s likely responses to the sanctions campaign and how this will affect the president’s stated goal of seeking a “better” deal.
