Verification Pilot Project Meeting

NTI reconvened a group of international technical experts this week to continue work on verifying baseline inventory declarations of nuclear warheads and materials. NTI is exploring these and other issues as part of its Verification Pilot Project, which aims to build knowledge and strengthen capacity for international verification efforts which support arms reductions goals; build confidence between nuclear and non-nuclear weapon states in disarmament processes; develop solutions for specific verification challenges; and solve technical problems that could be barriers to future progress.
