Pentagon Studies Reveal Major Nuclear Problems

A major study, commissioned by the Department of Defense, found major systemic problems with the United States nuclear enterprise, such as short-staffing and under-funding. Investigators discovered that the crews responsible for 450 intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) only had one wrench capable of connecting nuclear warheads to the ICBMs. This single wrench was FedExed between crews.
