NTI | bio is excited to launch the application for the 2024 Next Generation Biosecurity Delegation! This year, we will bring a delegation of early-career professionals to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) meetings from August 19 – 23. This opportunity is designed to contribute to an energized, internationally connected, and diverse network of next-generation leaders who are working to strengthen global biosecurity.

The selection process will focus on identifying the highest quality candidates while maintaining gender and regional balance. All are welcome to apply but preference will be given to individuals who have not previously attended an in-person BWC meeting.

For the purposes of this application, please use the following definition for biosecurity – the “successful minimizing of the risks that the biological sciences will be deliberately or accidentally misused in a way which causes harm for humans, animals, plants or the environment, including through awareness and understanding of the risks”.
