NTI Welcomes New Staff to Development and NTI | bio Teams
NTI is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh Sullivan as Vice President of Development and David Stiefel as a Director for NTI's Global Biological Policy and Program (NTI | bio).
We are saddened to learn of the death of Fujia Yang, a emeritus member of the NTI Board of Directors and an internationally renowned nuclear physicist and educator dedicated to improving relations between China and the United States.
An academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yang was a professor whose work took him around the world from Fudan University, where he served as president from 1993-1999, to visiting professorships in Denmark, the United States, and Japan. Most recently, he served as the sixth Chancellor of the University of Nottingham, one of the United Kingdom’s leading research universities. He also served as the founding president of the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
“Fujia was a dear friend to NTI and a generous colleague,” said NTI Co-Founder and Co-Chair Sam Nunn. “We benefited greatly from Fujia’s wisdom and deep expertise, and we are grateful for his service and dedication to building a safer world.”
