Jacob Eckles serves as a senior program officer for NTI’s Global Biological Policy and Programs team (NTI | bio). In this role, he leads efforts to increase global action on biosecurity through the Global Biosecurity Dialogue, as well as advance NTI | bio efforts to improve global preparedness for pandemic threats and increase health security financing.
Prior to joining NTI, Eckles served as a global health officer in the Office of Global Affairs at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He has served as a U.S. delegate to the World Health Assembly and has extensive experience working with multilateral institutions and partnerships.
Eckles holds a M.P.H. in Global Health Policy from the George Washington University, where he focused in global health security and public health in humanitarian emergencies. He also holds a B.S. in Political Science from Indiana Wesleyan University.
