New Database Documents All North Korean Missile Tests
A new database created by CNS on NTI’s website documents all of North Korea’s missile test launches since 1984.
North Korea fired a long-range rocket on Wednesday morning, defying multiple UN Security Council resolutions. According to Japan, one part of the rocket fell into the waters west of the Korean Peninsula and another part fell into the sea east of the Philippines. North Korea's state media declared the launch a success, and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) reported that North Korea "deployed an object that appeared to achieve orbit."
NTI, in partnership with James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, offers extensive web resources for reporters looking for background and information on North Korea's nuclear weapons and missile programs. Coverage from Global Security Newswire, produced by National Journal, is also listed.
